Methodology

Useful claims need visible evidence.

This page explains how SKUFix separates deterministic repair from seller judgment, verifies generated workbooks, and fact-checks public comparison content.

Workbook diagnosis

SKUFix validates the XLSX archive before opening it, limits decompression and workbook complexity, detects a likely data sheet and header row, and maps known Amazon field aliases into a normalized internal model.

Processing-report entries are mapped by the strongest available evidence: explicit cell address, SKU and attribute, row and attribute, then SKU. Unmatched messages remain visible instead of being forced onto a cell.

Repairability labels

  • Safe fix: a deterministic replacement supported by the workbook and rule.
  • Seller input: product truth or a catalog choice must be confirmed.
  • Template required: the workbook lacks necessary structure or current product-type fields.
  • Support required: the issue depends on Amazon-side catalog authority, identity, eligibility, or policy.
  • Informational: useful evidence that does not imply a workbook change.

Output verification

Every selected replacement is applied to a separate copy. SKUFix reopens the generated workbook, checks expected cells, compares source and output, rejects unintended cell changes, and records a checksum. Formula and macro execution are never enabled.

Error-page publishing policy

Error pages remain excluded from search until the content, repairability, examples, limitations, and representative detection coverage are reviewed. Draft pages can be inspected by the product team but emit noindex.

Comparison policy

Comparisons use the alternative's official site or primary marketplace listing for current scope. They explain when the alternative is the better fit, avoid unverifiable outcome claims, and show a fact-check date and source links.

A comparison is not an endorsement. Competitor features and pricing can change, so buyers should confirm current terms with the provider before purchase.

Search publishing policy

SKUFix publishes a limited number of substantial pages organized around real seller decisions. It does not generate city pages, synonym pages, or near-duplicate keyword variants. Technical discovery files help crawlers find the same public content users can read.
